HVAC Piping And Parts For Every Kind Of HVAC Application
Mechanical piping is essential to any HVAC installation, and North Town Mechanical Services specializes in HVAC piping along with all aspects of system construction and design. There are many uses for mechanical piping in moving heated or chilled water throughout your building’s HVAC system, and North Town has all the materials and the know-how necessary to install and repair your HVAC or mechanical systems quickly, correctly, and with precision.
One use of mechanical piping in HVAC systems is for hydronics, a system in which water is used as the heat-transfer medium in heating and cooling systems. These systems use HVAC piping to distribute a heated fluid to radiators throughout a building. Historically, large commercial buildings such as campus facilities and high-rise office buildings employed hydronic systems that utilized chillers and/or cooling towers to provide cool water for a chilled water loop, and boilers to heat water for a heated water loop. This type of system uses hydronics for both heating and air conditioning. While steam and hot water radiators have been common for many decades, recent innovations such as the chiller boiler system have yielded higher efficiency HVAC systems for small commercial spaces.
HVAC piping is also used in certain split HVAC systems in which the evaporator coil is connected to a remote condenser unit using piping instead of ducts. Piping is also used in the dehumidification stage, to remove moisture that condenses on the evaporator coil tubes.
